About TAPEDECK

TAPEDECK are three Tyrolean musicians Sebastian Hödl (electric bass), Laurin P. Ostermann (piano, keys, synth) and Andreas Senn (drums). On paper, TAPEDECK can be seen as a straightforward jazz trio. However, TAPEDECK's uncommon approach and unique interpretations of compositions makes them a special melting pot of jazz, rock, funk, pop, accentuated with drum'n'bass and electronica.

The repertoire of TAPEDECK as a modern jazz trio includes selected pieces of their mentors (E.S.T. as well as The Bad Plus) and compositions of their own. All of these are unique - quiet groove ballads fade impeccably into funky jazz flirtations with drum'n'bass and rock rhythms. Add in the live usage of a computer and a few effects, TAPEDECK create sophisticated arrangements full of tonal diversity.
